Auto-Haste is possibly the most useful equipment ability in the game. Its effect automatically casts Haste on user. It can be customized to an armor by using 80 Chocobo Wings. If you replace it with Auto-Phoenix, it's much better. Chocobo is a decent fiend to start with, largely because it is very fast (high AGI and can learn Auto-Haste later). Without neither those abilities i asume the difference would be a bit more noticeable but as i said, there's no reason to not have Auto. So for Auto-Haste you need Chocobo Wings and Ribbon Dark Matter. #1.
